What happens to a joint benefit claim once relationship ends?

My partner and I share rent (for which we receive housing benefit) and also a joint job-seekers allowance benefit. However due to unfortunate circumstances our relationship seems to be coming to an end. Will the benefit be changed to normal single JSA benefits? What about rent, if I move out, can I claim housing benefit elsewhere and can my ex-partner can stay here and continue to receive his benefit?
